Molecular Puzzle
WaterPuzzle and BasePairPuzzle
What to give the chemist who has everything? – or how to explain the importance of hydrogen bonding in molecular interactions? The molecular puzzles from MIDAS Studio is the answer. Developed by Prof. Kondo and produced in Japan, the molecules contain magnets making them self-organizing in a patterns simulating H-bonding. The molecular magnets are available as a WaterPuzzle, showing the complex inter-molecular interactions in water, and you can also get BasePairPuzzles showing the interactions in nucleobases A, C, G, T, and U.
The details and uses of this model are detailed in an article published February 14, 2023, in the Journal of Chemical Education (https://doi.org/10.1021/acs.jchemed.2c00964).
